The Legislative State Personnel Specialist is an entry-level position in the Bureau of Legislative Research that provides nonpartisan analysis and recommendations on personnel policies, procedures, and budgetary issues affecting Arkansas state agencies. The role involves researching and preparing data-based reports, reviewing classifications and compensation matters, and providing technical assistance to legislative committees and the General Assembly.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, public administration, or related field
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to navigate complex state personnel processes
- Ability to conduct objective research and data analysis
- Proficiency in Windows Applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to express research findings in clear written and verbal form
- Knowledge of legislative process and state/federal agency functions
