Position: Patient Services Representative (Bilingual)

As a Patient Service Representative
, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families. This role is responsible for providing assistance with billing questions, insurance coverage, payment options, and account balances. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive patient interactions with professionalism. The Patient Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring smooth financial interactions while maintaining a positive patient experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service to patients through phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Answer patient questions regarding billing, insurance coverage, payment options, and balances
  • Process patient payments and set up payment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing or insurance issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and update account details in the system
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies to safeguard patient information
  • Support the company’s mission of providing efficient and compassionate service to patients
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or medical billing
  • Knowledge of insurance processes, billing practices, and patient payment procedures strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive conversations
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer systems; experience with electronic health records (EHR) or billing software is a plus
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
