Summary:
The AR Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Baptist Health receives timely payment for the services it provides. This includes working with payers (insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) to resolve billing issues, following up on unpaid claims, and denials. The AR Reimbursement Specialist must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement practices.
Other information:
Associates or 5+ years billing, insurance follow up, and appeals required. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS). Proficient in billing and AR software. Contract interpretation and knowledge required. Proficient in Excel. Knowledgeable of EPIC reporting platform.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
