Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Business Process Analyst is responsible for defining, designing, and supporting ERP‑enabled business processes within a discrete manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in the deployment and optimization of Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syte Line), ensuring alignment between system capabilities and real‑world engineering and manufacturing operations.
The position works closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and IT to translate business requirements into effective ERP solutions, with a focus on engineer‑to‑order (ETO) manufacturing. The analyst will observe current operational workflows, gather key information, and translate those processes into effective solutions within the Infor Cloud Suite environment.
Responsibilities also include understanding the setup and functionality of the current ERP system, training new users, and collaborating closely with the Project Manager throughout the implementation process to ensure a successful transition and optimization of the system.
Business Process Analysis & Design- Analyze current‑state business processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Design future‑state processes aligned with ERP capabilities and operational goals
- Document business requirements, workflows, and functional specifications
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross‑functional teams
- Configure and support ERP functionality in alignment with business needs
- Translate requirements into system solutions in collaboration with technical teams and implementation partners
- Participate in system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues during and after implementation
- Support key manufacturing processes, including:
- Engineer‑to‑order (ETO) production
- Configurable product structures
- Multi‑level bills of materials (BOMs)
- Shop floor routings and labor tracking
- Ensure ERP configurations accurately reflect shop floor execution
- Assist in the development and standardization of BOM and routing structures
- Validate data accuracy for items, inventory, work centers, and lead times
- Support data migration, cleansing, and validation activities
- Promote data governance and ongoing data quality practices
- Assist in configuring and validating MRP and capacity planning processes
- Support improvements in production scheduling and material planning
- Identify and help resolve planning‑related system or process issues
- Provide end‑user support and training for ERP processes and functionality
- Develop documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures
- Act as a liaison between business users and IT
- 5‑8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in ERP implementations
- Experience in discrete manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of:
- Multi‑level BOMs
- Manufacturing routings
- Production planning and scheduling
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syte Line)
- Experience supporting engineer‑to‑order (ETO) manufacturing
- Familiarity with Configure‑Price‑Quote (CPQ) processes
- Background in industrial, electrical, or heavy manufacturing
- Experience with data migration or data governance initiatives
- Regular interaction with engineering, operations, and shop floor personnel
- Participation in workshops, testing, and training sessions
- Travel as required
