This position oversees all information technology functions for the division of children and family services (dcfs), supporting approximately 1200 employees by managing daily operations, coordinating infrastructure-related project, and ensuring systems effective support division objectives. This position serves as the central liaison between technical teams, dcfs leadership, and external vendors-most notably the arkansas state police hotline-while providing subject matter expertise on system operations, data workflows, and infrastructure performance.
Responsibilities include supervising a team of six who manages support tickets and participate in testing and requirements gathering, directing release planning and ongoing system testing, troubleshooting escalated issues, and ensuring all it activities adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and state and federal requirements. All it-related information and decisions for dcfs flow through this role, making it the division's primary point of coordination for infrastructure oversight and improvement.

Job summary
The it infrastructure coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and projects related to an agency's or organization's information technology infrastructure. This role involves coordinating between technical teams, vendors, and a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to ensure that infrastructure systems, such as servers, networks, and storage, function effectively and support business objectives. The it infrastructure coordinator plays a key role in project planning, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements, while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and industry standards.
Primary responsibilities
Coordinate the maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of information technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related projects and initiatives, ensuring clear communication. Assist in planning and implementing new technologies to enhance infrastructure performance and scalability. Monitor system performance and security, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to manage infrastructure-related tasks and procurements.
Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure systems, processes, and changes. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, cybersecurity protocols, and organizational policies. Provide technical support and guidance to teams and end-users regarding infrastructure systems. Develop and maintain schedules for routine maintenance and system updates. Support disaster recovery planning and implementation, ensuring business continuity.
