JOB OBJECTIVE: To oversee, maintain, secure, and optimize the primary systems and applications, server environments, storage platforms, backup and recovery services, directory services, virtualization resources, and associated enterprise infrastructure to support secure and efficient technology operations within the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Manages server infrastructure, storage environments, virtualization platforms, backup systems, recovery processes, file services, directory services, and related systems software to ensure secure, and efficient technology operations; coordinates with departments to align storage and data management practices with LRCVB technology goals.
2.Monitors system access, availability, capacity, documentation, health, performance, security, storage utilization, backup status, and lifecycle requirements; identifies risks or service issues and implements corrective actions to maintain business continuity and operational reliability.
3.Plans, coordinates, tests, and implements system patches, software updates, server upgrades, storage changes, application enhancements, configuration changes, and related maintenance activities in compliance with all applicable LRCVB policies and procedures.
4.Oversees the IT Helpdesk operations, to include ticket intake, prioritization, assignment, escalation, resolution tracking,compliance to service standards, documentation, customer service expectations, and follow-up support for LRCVB departments and staff.
5.Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors the work of assigned personnel; provides ongoing supervision, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure operational effectiveness and consistent delivery of technical services.
6.Administers Microsoft 365 environment, identity & access, permissions, authentication, endpoint management, security groups, shared resources, and user provisioning processes in compliance with LRCVB technology standards, organizational policies, and least-privilege practices.
7.Reviews and analyzes server, storage, application, backup, endpoint, and security environments to ensure effective and secure operations; implements safeguards, configuration standards, monitoring practices, and documentation to reduce operational risks.
8.Provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications, servers, storage, operating systems, backup failures, access issues, hardware problems, software issues, service interruptions, and escalated Helpdesk tickets.
9.Oversees data storage, backup, recovery, retention, file management, disaster recovery readiness, and system availability requirements; coordinates with LRCVB departments to support data management needs, align storage practices with technology goals, verify backup integrity, and support restoration processes as needed.
10.Coordinates with network, cybersecurity, telecommunications, facilities, and vendor resources to support dependent infrastructure, cloud-based services, IoT-connected systems, security systems, remote access, monitoring tools, integrations, and system-related service needs.
11.Maintains accurate system documentation, application inventories, server and storage records, configuration standards, support procedures, access records, maintenance schedules, and technical knowledge base materials.
12.Provides assistance to the Senior Director of Information Technology with systems planning, technology lifecycle management, budget forecasting, procurement recommendations, software licensing, maintenance agreements, cloud service planning, technology trend evaluation, and operational improvements related to enterprise systems and infrastructure.
13.Conducts research to stay abreast of emerging technologies, evolving IT practices, cybersecurity trends, and applicable industry standards; evaluates their relevance to LRCVB systems, operations, service delivery, and long-term technology planning; makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the technical operational.
14.Develops and supports technology training, user adoption resources, and technical documentation related to systems, applications, cybersecurity practices, Helpdesk procedures, and approved operational standards.
