Floor technician

This position is primarily responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpeted and hard floor surfaces to make our customers facilities look great. Other cleaning projects may be assigned from time to time.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform all floor cleaning and maintenance duties for facilities using Service Master provided tools and procedures. This may include: using backpack vacuums, mopping, shampooing or extracting carpets, stripping and waxing floors, buffing or burnishing, moving furniture, spot cleaning, and other duties to achieve the desired outcomes.

The successful technician must have a thorough understanding of stripping and refinishing floors, carpet cleaning, identifying different flooring types, as well as using the correct equipment and procedures for each. Technician will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

Physical Demands and

Qualifications:

Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75lbs.
2+ years of experience as a floor tech is preferred.
We will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must.
Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
Must be able to work from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM Monday through Friday.
Must be able to work weekends from time to time to complete projects.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and clean background.
