Hi-Speed Industrial Service is seeking an experienced Motor Shop Manager to lead operations at our Little Rock, AR facility. This leader will oversee daily shop activities, manage a skilled technical team, and ensure customer satisfaction while driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on manager with strong mechanical aptitude, proven experience in rotating equipment or related industries, and the ability to balance customer needs with business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5+ technicians and support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for career growth.
- Foster a positive, safety‑first, and team‑oriented culture.
- Oversee all shop operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and scope.
- Review and approve customer quotations for accuracy and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with EASA AR100, IEEE, and NEMA standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for escalated customer concerns.
- Apply strong problem‑solving skills to resolve issues quickly.
- Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships with transparency and professionalism.
- Represent Hi-Speed in local and national industry associations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability.
- 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment, motor repair, or a similar industry.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams of 5+.
- Proven track record in customer relationship management and issue resolution.
- Experience preparing and reviewing quotations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- Experience managing multi‑branch operations with revenues over $500K/month.
- Familiarity with the steel and paper industries.
- Knowledge of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
