This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for building the infrastructure for LexU, the internal learning and development platform. The Director will lead both the vision and execution of training programs across professional, leadership, and skilled trades audiences.

The role is equal parts strategic design and operational execution, requiring someone who can build systems from the ground up while also influencing stakeholders across functions and levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • L&D Infrastructure Development: Build the foundational systems, processes, and curriculum architecture for LexU from scratch. Establish a robust and scalable learning framework that supports all levels of the organization.
  • Curriculum Design – Leadership Pipeline: Develop and implement a structured, two-year leadership development program. Define key milestones, learning objectives, and outcomes. Gain alignment from leadership on content areas and participant selection.
  • Contractor Management: Strategically leverage external resources to fill skill and delivery gaps. Oversee vendor/contractor engagement to support content development and facilitation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Collaborate closely with business leaders and frontline managers to align on learning priorities. Negotiate program content and participant engagement. Build consensus while ensuring program integrity and quality.
  • Training Delivery & Facilitation: Facilitate leadership and executive-level programs as needed. Represent LexU with presence and credibility to drive engagement and buy-in across levels.
  • Cultural Fit & Change Leadership: Bring high energy, a strong mindset, and a people-first approach. Ensure team members and stakeholders feel heard and involved. Balance confidence and collaboration to build trust and influence.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience designing and leading enterprise-wide learning and leadership development programs—especially those built from the ground up.
  • Background in industrial or manufacturing environments; understands nuances of engaging skilled trades, craft workers, and multi-shift operations.
  • Comfortable training a mixed audience—from hands-on field employees to senior leaders.
  • Strong presence and facilitation skills; can effectively lead executive-level sessions.
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and gaining alignment.
  • Collaborative and communicative, with the ability to create shared ownership of L&D programs.
  • High energy, proactive, and adaptable; thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Includes a moderate travel component, scheduled based on program needs.
  • This role will help shape and manage travel scheduling in coordination with program timelines.
