Opportunity

Are you a visionary fundraising leader ready to build something that matters? Achieve Community Alliance (formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas) is seeking a Chief Development Officer to help lead the next chapter of our organization’s growth—one defined by bold strategy, strong relationships, and real impact across Arkansas for individuals with disabilities.

This is a rare executive‑level role for a fundraising professional who values mission and is passionate about changing lives. You'll join the executive leadership team, work directly with the CEO and the Board of Directors, and build a development operation that aligns with our vision to ensure a life without limits for children and adults with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and lead the organization’s overall fundraising vision and annual plan
  • Manage a major gifts portfolio and drive six‑ and seven‑figure donor relationships
  • Lead corporate sponsorship strategy and institutional funding priorities
  • Build and develop a high‑performing development team
  • Partner with the CEO and Board to cultivate a strong culture of philanthropy
  • Shape Achieve’s philanthropic messaging and case for support
Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated major gifts success
  • Track record of securing six‑ and seven‑figure gifts or equivalent revenue growth
  • Experience leading teams and engaging executive leadership and boards
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preference for nonprofit management, business, or related field
Why Achieve

Founded in 1957, we’ve weathered decades of change as a provider of services for children and adults with disabilities. As the funding and policy landscapes continue to shift, we are transforming to meet the challenge—and that’s the exciting part. With a strategic plan in the works, a growing team, and deep community roots, this is the right moment to join and make your mark.

Achieve has offices in Little Rock, Jonesboro, Harrison, and Clarksville. Therefore, a hybrid work schedule is possible, with frequent statewide travel expected. Preference will be given to candidates residing in central, northwest, or northeast Arkansas. Competitive salary, full benefits, and a generous leave policy.
