Maintenance Mechanic
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. The role involves motor changes, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, changing drives and belts, gear boxes, and performing preventative maintenance. The primary responsibility is to field service calls throughout the facility to diagnose and troubleshoot any issues, such as fixing stoppages of machines/conveyors, changing bad cylinders, fixing photo eyes, and replacing chains.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems.
- Handle motor changes, troubleshooting, and diagnosing faults.
- Conduct preventative maintenance during the cleaning window, lasting 2‑3 hours every 1‑2 days.
- Respond to service calls to fix machine or conveyor stoppages.
- Change drives, belts, and gear boxes as needed.
- Replace cylinders, photo eyes, and chains.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a preference for industrial maintenance.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, and electrical systems.
- Competence in troubleshooting conveyor systems and three‑phase motors.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Possession of a basic set of tools.
- Ability to work at least one weekend day with the option of having two days off.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pumps and hydraulics is beneficial.

WorkEnvironment
The role operates primarily on the 2nd shift (3pm‑11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm‑7am), with an initial 4‑6 weeks on 1st shift. Experience a cold but manageable food environment in a highly organized facility featuring new conveyor systems and packaging lines. The company has invested significantly in upgrades over the past five years.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, AR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
