Job Purpose
Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, maintain documentation, communicate issues, perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs, participate in equipment changeovers, and produce the highest quality products.
Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety and health regulations; ensure safe operation of downstream equipment; adhere to lock out/tag out policies; wear proper PPE; proactively address unsafe conditions, report to the Shift Production Supervisor, and participate in safety training as scheduled.
Daily OperationsMonitor overall equipment effectiveness (OEE); complete machine and task training; perform operator checklists; collect quality data; correct deviations from quality standards; read and respond to SPC charting; communicate problems and continuous improvement ideas to management, maintenance, and production staff; conduct daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning per the Master Cleaning Schedule.
Quality and GMP/ Food SafetyEnsure production is properly labeled, checked, and recorded; place non‑conforming products on hold with correct protocol; record raw material lot numbers; follow GMP guidelines; carry out line sanitization per the Master Sanitization Schedule; report quality, food safety, GMP, and food defense issues to supervisors.
Preventive MaintenancePerform scheduled equipment changeovers with minimal OEE impact; execute preventive maintenance tasks per the plant PM program; manage work orders in the computerized maintenance management system; maintain equipment in showroom condition; tag parts for repair or replacement; record inventory changes; notify Maintenance Manager when parts inventory is low.
QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent; sense of urgency, accountability, professionalism, self‑motivation; ability to act as Person In Charge when needed; completed entrance examinations and interviews; commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and personal development.
PayPay Range Minimum: $18.95 per hour.
