Job Summary
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for both pre‑ and post‑technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. The Project Manager will be an individual contributor working closely with Engineering, Sales and Extended teams to ensure overall technical design proposals meet customer requirements. This role is critical to our success in all projects, from designing rack systems to verifying that all components work together seamlessly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work with Business Development Managers, Sales, Field Application Engineers, and customers for rack system product project management.
- Collaborate cross‑departmentally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand business requirements and deliver products, services, and results.
- Design rack systems including servers, switches, power distribution units, and network cables.
- Define escalation paths pertaining to projects and drive on‑time delivery.
- Make feature improvements to existing application systems required to run business.
- Introduce efficiency enhancements to existing processes to eliminate redundancy and increase effectiveness.
- 3+ years of professional experience in computer systems, rack systems, or project/product management.
- Familiarity with server, storage, switch, and datacenter products and services.
- Experience with Linux, networking, and virtualization.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
$70,000 – $148,000, depending on location, level, education, and experience. Compensation also may include bonus and equity award programs and a comprehensive benefits package.
