Sage V Foods, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a leading provider of innovative rice, grain, and plant-based products. We are dedicated to quality, sustainability, and the success of our employees. We’re seeking a dependable Senior Lead Operator to join our production team.

This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and supporting production equipment used to produce, pack, and ship rice food products. The ideal candidate is detail‑orientated, safety-focused, and ready to contribute to a team that values quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and maintain department machinery to support production, packing, and shipping of rice food products.
  • Drive a forklift or other powered equipment as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per PM charts and report defective materials or conditions.
  • Follow all food safety, legal, quality, and process control policies and regulations.
  • Accurately maintain company records and forms.
  • Lead and direct work tasks of other department employees when needed.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning machine functions and troubleshooting issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of successful machine operating experience in a modern industrial facility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience in the food or chemical industry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documents and customer orders.
  • Basic computer knowledge for operating systems and record-keeping.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods; occasional stooping, bending, kneeling.
  • Work extended shifts and weekends when needed.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and handle equipment assembly/disassembly.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and perform close visual work on controls and computer screens.
  • Wear required PPE at all times.
  • Work in a variety of conditions including hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and wet environments with uneven walking surfaces and moving equipment.
