Pay: $25.00–$28.00/hour
Responsibilities- Schedule work tasks for the Arkansas locations
- Perform maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing, and day-to-day activities on an assigned shift
- Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent
- Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels
- Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter and gauge readings
- Operate valves and gates either manually or by remote control
- Start and stop pumps, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses
- Perform routine maintenance functions and custodial duties
- Make operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel
- Understand and carry out oral and written directions
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with no major infractions
- Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data management systems; ability to operate plant PLCs and SCADA systems
- Past work experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude — ability to apply simple mechanical and physical principles and determine how objects work and move, alone and in relation to other objects
- Must obtain Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License within the first 14 months on the job
- Basic familiarity with the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations
- Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License or higher
- Supervisory skills and abilities, demonstrated through experience leading people and scheduling work assignments
- 1 year of experience operating water/wastewater treatment plants
- Basic familiarity with the operating principles of valves, pumps, and motors; principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical sewage analyses; effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes; safe work practices
