POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for implementing the marketing strategy and positioning of the products that Perfect Vision manufactures and distributes. In this role, you will need to become an expert on our products, the industry, and the needs of our customers and be able to translate this information into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our products to the appropriate stakeholders.

Responsible for presenting our products in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. For this role, the candidate needs to be a creative and quantitative thinker and is familiar with various product marketing techniques. The goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products. This role will also be responsible for managing the e-commerce and product sales on-line.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Translate technical details into benefits for the user
• Follow and analyze market trends to position products
• Develop product marketing strategies (advertising, product launching)
• Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns)
• Work with various teams (design, content, acquisition, product, sales) to implement strategies
• Test marketing product features, releases and ad copy
• Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers
• Proven experience in Marketing or similar role
• Background in design and copywriting is a plus
• Experience in market analysis
• Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)
• Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Web Trends)
• Creativity
• Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
• BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
• Regular and prompt attendance at work is a primary function and requirement of this position.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• College experience in Advertisement, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience

• Two to four years of professional customer service or administrative experience working in a fast‑paced environment responsible for maintaining multiple requests and meeting deadlines; and
• One to two years of advertisement, marketing or graphics experience preferred.

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Outlook– Basic level. Must have the ability to perform functions such as composing, sending, forwarding and replying to incoming e‑mail, attaching computerized files, and utilizing calendar and task reminders.
• Microsoft Word– Basic level. Must have the ability to perform functions such as composing, editing, naming and saving documents, formatting text, and printing.
• Microsoft Excel– Basic level. Must have the ability to perform functions such as creating a spreadsheet, formatting a spreadsheet, using the formula bar, and calculating numbers.
• Accurate 10-Key by touch, alphanumeric.
• Accurate typing skills, approximately 30 words per minute.
• General knowledge of how to use a calculator, scanner, copy machine, fax machine, printer, telephone and various standard office equipment.

Other Requirements

• Proficient in basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
• Knowledge of measurements such as length, height, width, inches, feet, meters, decimeters, centimeters, and millimeters.
• Primary language used to perform this job is English. Bilingual in Spanish, French or German would be helpful.
