The RN Circulator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing patient care in the Operating Room (OR), ensuring a safe, sterile, and professional environment during surgical procedures. This role is crucial in managing the flow of the OR, supporting the surgical team, and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their surgery.

• Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate and oversee patient care during surgeries, ensuring effective communication and decision‑making with the surgical team.
• Plan and execute intra‑operative care: Implement and evaluate patient care based on individual patient needs and physician orders.
• Medication administration: Administer medications with a thorough understanding of pharmacology, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Preparation and documentation: Prepare and maintain surgical supplies, equipment, and medications to prevent delays; ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Maintain sterile environment: Adhere to sterile techniques and hygiene protocols throughout the OR.
• Team collaboration: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals; participate in surgical time‑outs and patient verification processes.
• Equipment and supply management: Ensure proper functionality and cleanliness of OR equipment and supplies; maintain inventory and replenish as needed.
• Quality improvement and compliance: Participate in quality improvement activities; ensure adherence to OR safety standards, infection control measures, and patient safety initiatives.
• Additional duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support OR operations and patient care.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 0–6 months of related experience or training in the operating room or perioperative setting.
• Certifications: Active RN license; BLS and ACLS certification.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
