American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (PICU - Open Heart) position requiring AR or compact licensure and prior travel experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a pediatric ICU setting
- Patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular cases, including open heart patients
- 12-hour night shifts
- 13-week contract assignment
- Responsibilities include caring for pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients with a focus on post-open heart procedures
- Candidates must be nicotine free
- Limited RTO (3 days or less accepted); no holiday RTO allowed
- Active AR or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year pediatric cardiovascular and 1 year adult cardiovascular experience, or 2+ years combined pediatric/adult cardiovascular experience
- Prior travel nursing assignment is required
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Certifications required prior to start: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Must pass a fit test (no facial hair unless for religious reasons)
- Must pass a nicotine test
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
