Job Duties
Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Will analyze more complex and ongoing patient assessments and data to identify patient needs. The RN will assist individual patients, their families, and providers in developing the plan of care to meet patients', their families', and practitioners' needs by prioritizing multiple nursing diagnoses and collaborative medical problems in to the POC.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
- Valid Arkansas Registered Nurse License
- Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience.
- Collect and document assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standard.
- Develop patient’s Plan of Care (POC) per department/unit standards utilizing assessment data.
- Evaluate the progress of patients toward attainment of desired outcomes.
- Administer medication following department/unit standards and Nurse Practice Act.
- Verify and evaluate care delivered to ensure consistency with patient and family centered care principles, practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the integration of current evidence into nursing practices.
- Promote an environment conducive to positive educational experience for all students and staff.
- Provide effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate care appropriately through documentation in the medical record.
- Report variances in care/systems/processes through the appropriate means.
- Participate in recruitment/retention of staff.
- Facilitate development and implementation of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and in compliance with ANA standards.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
