Job Summary And Responsibilities
As our Registered Nurse at CHI St. Vincent in our ICU Stepdown Unit, you will help patients transitioning from intensive care achieve optimal health and independence so they can return home safely and confidently.
Every day you will provide direct patient care, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and managing complex patient needs. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with physicians, other health‑care providers, and patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and time management skills.
- Checking patients' health status daily and making note of any changes or concerns
- Caring for multiple patients throughout the same shift, often varying in age and condition
- Monitoring patients with life‑saving medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, feeding tubes and ventilators
- Providing a comfortable and secure environment for the patient while acting as their advocate
We are offering a sign‑on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.
Job Requirements- Registered Nurse license in good standing, State of Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start date
- 12 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
- Previous step down and/or ICU experience strongly preferred
- BLS through the American Heart Association is required within 30 days
- ACLS through the American Heart Association is required within 90 days
$32.28 - $43.58 /hour
