Provides and coordinates patient care, educates patients and the public about various health conditions, and provides advice and emotional support to patients and their families. Collaborates with doctors and other healthcare professionals to plan, manage, and assess patient care. Administers medications and treatments, performs diagnostic tests, and helps with patient rehabilitation. Ensures patients' medical records are accurate and up-to-date, and follows all relevant regulations and protocols.
Works in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes, to promote and maintain patients' health and well-being.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
- One (1) year of Registered Nursing direct patient care experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN or MSN
- Three (3) years of Registered Nursing direct patient care experience.
Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care for patients in within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.
- The RN is responsible to adhere to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards for specialty patient population with support and mentoring by other team members.
- Collects and documents assessment data.
- Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard.
- Implements POC including medical order and interdisciplinary approach.
- Evaluates the progress of patient toward attainment of desired outcomes.
- Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
