Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ER)
Job Type: Full‑Time.
Shift: 3 x 12‑hour nights (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) with rotating weekends.
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 available to qualified applicants.
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
- Document all patient care provided.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
- Evaluate patients’ and families’ learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstance.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.
- Current Tennessee or compact state registered nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire. Additional certifications—Trauma Nursing Core Certification (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENPC)—are preferred. - Minimum of two years of previous emergency department experience.
