Labor and Delivery Transport Nurse

The transport RN holds an important leadership role with Labor and Delivery. They are excellent communicators who relate well with the medical team, families, and co‑workers. The transport RN acts as an ambassador for our Labor and Delivery and encourages a professional work environment.

• Transport high‑risk maternal patients from referral centers via helicopter and/or ambulance.
• Train others and be an active participant of the transport team.
• Act as an ambassador for Labor and Delivery, ensuring a professional work environment.

• Minimum of three years current RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
• BSN preferred.
• Excellent assessment skills, able to perform in high‑stress/crisis situations.
• Competent with all standard emergency and stabilization interventions as outlined in OB ACLS, BLS, and advanced fetal monitoring.
• Leadership, flexibility, independence, initiative, intelligence, inquisitiveness, problem‑solving, and good clinical judgment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and public relations skills.

Work the assigned transport schedule to ensure continuity. This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi‑weekly.
