additional information:the patient care manager manages daily operations of the clinical nursing department ensuring safe and high quality patient care delivery and the effective and efficient utilization of staff, supplies, and equipment. Promotes evidenced based practice and ongoing performance improvement. The patient care manager collaborates with the nursing director, physicians and other members of the department’s leadership team.
required education:bachelor’s degree nursing
recommended education:master’s degree nursing
required work experience:nursing - 3 years with 1 year of leadership experience
required certifications:certification specific to patient population - , certified dialysis nurse (cdn) - nephrology nursing certification commission (nncc), registered nurse (rn) license - arkansas or compact state
recommended certifications:cdn: when assigned to dialysis unit only - required within one (1) year of hire or within 6 months of meeting certification exam eligibility
