Job Description
Chamberlain College of Nursing is looking for a Part‑Time Adult Health/Medical‑Surgical Clinical Faculty to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Adult Health (Medical‑Surgical) Nursing Course OverviewThe course focuses on adult patients and their families, addressing health promotion and management of acute and chronic conditions. Clinical teaching applies the nursing process to health alterations affecting life processes, and students develop professional skills as members of the health team.
Responsibilities- Implement College philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
- Teach onsite in clinical settings with partners; schedule typically 12‑hour rotations (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) for three to four consecutive days.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care.
- Evaluate and document feedback to students based on course objectives.
- Provide remediation to students as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments aligning with student knowledge, skill, and learning needs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork and other written work promptly.
- May teach didactic content under supervision of the course coordinator.
- Inform course coordinator of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean; coordinator provides direct oversight.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Active professional nursing license in Arkansas.
- At least two years of recent professional experience in instruction as a registered nurse.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred.
- Passion for nursing, education, lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Sense of responsibility and purpose to enrich colleagues, students, and community.
Pay ranges between $1,120 and $7,245 per assignment, depending on education, experience, course type, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
