Summary of Job Duties
The Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology Nurse Navigator will provide compassionate and skilled oncology expertise spanning the entire cancer care continuum; including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end of life care.
The RN will provide assistance to patients, families and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers and facilitate timely access to quality health and psychosocial care.
The specialty RN should have a deep understanding of clinical oncology practices, cutting edge therapies, and diagnostic innovations, combined with a patient centered approach to care.
Qualifications- Associate’s degree in nursing, Diploma RN, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Nursing plus 3 years Registered Nurse experience.
- Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
- Valid Registered Nursing License.
- Basic skills with Microsoft programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethics and accountability.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant Registered Nursing experience in Oncology.
- Minimum of 5 years in patient navigation/coordination.
- Current BLS.
- National Certification – AONN or OCN or Oncology related certification.
- Knowledgeable with EPIC EMR.
