RN​/LPN- CHI Colorectal Surgery Clinic

Job Summary / Job PurposeII.

Key Responsibilities Manage daily clinical support staff services for the assigned clinic. In some cases, may be required to manage front office staff as well.

Manage clinic inventory and organization of supplies and sample medications.

Manage and implement all laboratory operations, resulting and reporting, within the assigned clinic.

May act as a facilitator for hospital based/ancillary patient care (may vary based upon clinic). May include facilitating admissions, ER visits, answering questions about ancillary procedures, etc...Facilitates appropriate staffing and provider support in the clinics, in consultation with practice manager and clinicians.

Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.

Manage the resolution and implementation of decisions/improvements as requested.

Manage the provision of quality patient care given at the assigned clinic, including maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice.

Perform daily nursing duties as assigned.

Actively participates in daily huddles/rounding.

Oversight of sterile processing and infection control protocols (may vary based upon clinic).Other duties as assigned (clinical duties shall be within the appropriate scope of practice).III. EngageMED Core Expectations To know OUR MISSION:

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries or complaints from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer

Skills:

Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation, database management, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and graphic presentation packages.

Qualifications

Job Requirements / Qualificationsa. Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

High School Diploma/GED Current/valid RN Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) requiredb. Experience (required and preferred):3+ years of nursing experience in clinic or hospital setting required.
1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
