American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week assignment requiring at least 1 year of cath lab specialty experience and mandatory call coverage.

• Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with a 3-room Cardiac Cath Lab handling EP, cath, and structural heart procedures
• Case types include ablations, EP studies, device implants, lead extractions, cardioversions, left/right heart caths, transvenous pacing, impella insertion/removal, peripheral cases, Watchman procedures, valve procedures, PFOs, and ECMO
• Average case volume is 5-6 cath procedures and 2-5 EP procedures per day per room
• Adult patient population ages 20 and above
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-5pm
• Call requirements include one weekend (Friday-Sunday) and four weeknights per month, with weeknight call from 5pm-6:30am and weekend call from 5pm Friday to 6:30am Monday
• On-call and holiday coverage required
• No floating or charge nurse duties required
• Uses Epic documentation system and a drug box medication system

• Active RN license (AR or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab specialty experience required
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization required
• EP and structural heart experience preferred but not required
• Performs venipuncture as part of unit procedures

• Advanced practice providers are present on the unit
• One week of orientation provided
• Specialty testing conducted as needed with training provided
• Respiratory therapy and anesthesia support available 24/7
• Surgical scrubs provided by the hospital, closed-toe shoes required, minimal jewelry, hair/beard pulled back per policy, and no nail polish
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
