Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Level III/IV NICU setting, managing patient populations including micro-premies (23 weeks), VLBW infants, and complex surgical and medical neonatal diagnoses
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including GE ventilators, Servo, HFOV, Jet Vent, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, IMV, Omni beds, and Giraffe isolettes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 24/7 Neonatologists, Respiratory Therapy, Anesthesia, and Advanced Practice Providers
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3/4 based on acuity, with ancillary support from PCTs each shift
- Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication system
- Float within the ICU cluster (PICU and Burn ICU) as required; travelers are first to float
- Active Arkansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU (Level 4 experience strongly preferred and must be clearly documented; Level I or II experience will not be considered)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (must be documented on submission)
- Must pass a fit test (facial hair must comply with facility policy except for religious accommodations)
- Must test negative for nicotine
- Ability to complete 2–3 days of orientation and required specialty testing upon start
- NCC Neonatal ICU RN (RNC-NIC) certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing assignment experience
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Experience with ECMO, Nitric Oxide therapy, and high-frequency ventilation modalities
- Work in a large, specialized NICU with 104 beds, a dedicated multidisciplinary team, and advanced technology supporting complex neonatal care
