  • Work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no weekends; may work some holidays.
  • Provide direct clinical services for pediatric patients according to established protocols and evidence-based standards in collaboration with a physician.
  • Obtain patient health histories, complete physical examinations, and interpret hemodynamic data.
  • Document normal and abnormal findings.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests.
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses with the physician.
  • Document appropriately in medical records.
  • Provide family-centered care.
  • Use current research and evidence-based decision‑making in clinical practice.
  • Participate in staff education and educate APRN/PA students, residents, and/or fellows.
  • Provide leadership and professional interaction within the team.
  • Coordinate care and communicate children’s progress with families in person, by telephone, or by email.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement or research projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least a Master’s in Nursing.
  • National Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the specialty of pediatrics.
  • May have a certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in either acute or primary care, although primary care is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
  • Curriculum Vitae required.
  • Criminal Background Check and pre‑employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification.
