Certified Nurse-Midwife, CNM, APRN

• Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and women’s health care services
• Provide women’s health, prenatal and postpartum care in selected clinic settings
• Triage women presenting to Labor and Delivery
• Manage care of essentially healthy women admitted in labor, delivery and postpartum
• Perform comprehensive health assessments and establish diagnoses
• Develop and implement treatment and care plans
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and diagnostic tests within APRN scope
• Manage laboring patients independently or collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during pregnancy and birth
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support evidence-based, low-intervention, patient-centered maternity care
• Consult or refer to physicians when complications arise
• Document patient care and maintain compliance with APRN and hospital standards
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and facilitate necessary consultations
• Serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate
• Teach midwifery and obstetric care to medical, nursing, and midwifery students
• Participate in Women and Infants Service Line research initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Valid License as an APRN by the State of Arkansas Required
• National Board Certification for Nurse-Midwifery
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license is required but may be obtained after hire
• New CNM graduates will be considered
• In-person response time requirement of 1 hour
• Demonstrated written and oral communication, problem-solving, leadership and collaborative skills
• Strong patient advocacy and patient education skills
• Subject to pre-employment criminal background and registry check and drug screen
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Demonstrates expertise in providing comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including the ability to manage laboring patients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Holds a valid APRN license and national board certification for nurse-midwifery, with strong patient advocacy and education skills.
