- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department
- Manage staffing, development, budgeting, patient satisfaction, professional growth, and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, Residency Director, physicians, and organizational leadership
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and orient qualified nursing staff
- Coordinate and monitor nursing staff workload and coverage
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and healthcare advancements
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance quality of care
- Develop and manage the nursing department budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining staffing and patient care quality
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns
- Gather feedback from patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Mentor staff, conduct performance evaluations, and support career advancement
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and open communication
- Establish quality metrics, measure performance, and identify improvement areas
- Ensure nursing practices comply with UAMS, regulatory, insurance, government, and internal standards
- Serve as liaison between nursing and other organizational departments
- Facilitate communication and align nursing activities with organizational goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in the field of Nursing
- At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership capacity
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Proficient in using healthcare software and databases
- Desire to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and a commitment to delivering quality patient care
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
Demonstrates expertise in nursing leadership, operational management, and quality improvement within healthcare settings. Proficient in budget management, staff development, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
