Our client is a well-established small animal hospital located in the Heights neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas. They are currently seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their four-doctor team. The hospital has been serving the local community for over three decades and operates out of a modern, multi-level facility designed to support high-quality veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The position is full-time, with a schedule of four working days per week and rotating Saturdays. There are no after-hours responsibilities mentioned, and the role offers flexibility to accommodate a variety of experience levels and career goals.
Role Description and ResponsibilitiesThe role involves delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to small animals in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Responsibilities include wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, nutritional counseling, and urgent care. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with support and mentorship available for those looking to grow or refine their skills.
The hospital features a state-of-the-art facility with five exam rooms, an in-house pharmacy, a large surgical suite, two wet tables, separate recovery areas for dogs and cats, and private offices for each doctor. Unique features include an elevator and a pneumatic tube system for efficient movement between floors. Services provided include wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, end-of-life care, nutritional counseling, and grooming.
