At Lexicon, we’re seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team and be a part of our continued success. Multiple shifts are available, including Day, Night, and Weekend shifts, with an additional 4‑hour bonus for weekend shift employees.

- Inspects all fabrication jobs to maintain the quality levels of work produced in accordance with applicable codes, standards, contract documents, and company QC procedures.
- Prepares detailed and thorough daily inspection reports.
- Monitors records on all shop welders with their level of certification and monitors daily rod use.
- Assists in setting up, monitoring, and maintaining welding procedures, bolting procedures and painting procedures required for projects.
- Provides feedback on questions related to quality and project requirements from shop employees.
- Must be able to work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Previous fitting and welding experience is required.
- AWS certified welding inspector, ASNT level‑II certification, and/or SSPC/NACE certification is desirable.
- 5 years of experience in a steel fabrication shop environment.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings and pass an inspector test.
- Must have excellent mathematical skills.
- High School or equivalent degree required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and climb 25 ft.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, push, and pull frequently.
- Requires occasional travel with overnight stays.
- Exposure to temperature fluctuations and loud work environment.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required.
- All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
