Research Assistant/Associate
Extra Help/Summer Assistant
UA Little Rock's Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences is seeing to hire an Extra Help/Summer Assistant. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Supporting grant-funded research projects and performing tasks assigned by and under the guidance of research employees and graduate assistants. Material research in the labs may cross multiple scientific disciplines relating to the study and development of advanced materials. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Required Education and or
Experience:
- Must have a high-school diploma.
Preferred Education and or
Experience:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of one or more science disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support grant-funded research projects;
- Perform tasks assigned by and under the guidance of research employees and graduate assistants;
- Perform research as directed in the area of materials and mechanical engineering.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work in a team environment against experimental deadlines;
- Document lab activities for technical reporting, time reporting, and possible manuscript contributions;
- Knowledge in Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
