Summary of
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will conduct applied economic research of water resources, which includes survey development, modeling, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The candidate will also gain valuable experience by assisting in presentation preparation, publishing articles, and writing grant proposals.
Required Education and/or
Experience:
- M.A. in economics, resource or environmental economics, natural resource management, or another applicable field by date of hire
- Advanced training in quantitative methods, microeconomics, and applied econometrics
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Education and/or
Experience:
- Survey development and quantitative skills
- Experience working with Qualtrics and optimization software, particularly GAMs
- Familiarity with panel and cross-sectional data analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA, SAS)
- Experience in conducting interdisciplinary research and willingness to travel
- Conduct applied economic research of water resources, including survey development, modeling, data analysis, and manuscript preparation
- Assist in presentation preparation, publishing articles, and writing grant proposals
- Familiarity with surveys and modeling
