Summary ofJob Duties:
The UAMS Arkansas Center for Birth Defects Research and Prevention and the Arkansas Research Center for Women are seeking a part-time (50% FTE, 20 hours per week) Student Employee who will work with a team of researchers at UAMS to collect and analyze data on various health-related topics. The duties will include conducting literature reviews, developing databases, collecting online data, analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, writing preliminary reports, and assisting with quality control and data integrity.
The Student must be able to work independently to meet study benchmarks and work with a team.
Registered as a UAMS student in the COPH MPH program.
- Conduct literature reviews, develop databases, collect online data, analyze data, maintain accurate records, write preliminary reports, and assist with quality control and integrity of the data.
- Collect and analyze data on various health-related topics
- Work with the study team to develop and implement secure systems for assuring the quality, confidentiality, and safety of the data, including maintaining appropriate study logs, records, and databases.
- Participate in regular project meetings, trainings, provide updates on progress, and communicates regularly with the study team on data collection progress
- Work with the study team to problem-solve issues, develop appropriate solutions, and assist the study team when needed.
- Work with the study investigators to develop regular written reports of study progress, preliminary data, and other written reports and papers.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned to this position.
Salary Information: $20/hour
