Research Assistant II

• Supports laboratory-based research by developing and implementing experimental protocols
• Conducts complex laboratory analyses
• Maintains research data systems to ensure data integrity, quality, and security
• Collaborates closely with the Principal Investigator to manage research data
• Troubleshoots project-related issues
• Analyzes and interprets research findings
• Prepares progress reports
• Stays current with emerging scientific methods and literature to support ongoing research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of research objectives

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in a related research or laboratory setting.
• Ability to independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot scientific experiments using established scientific methods.
• Ability to safely handle small laboratory animals.
• Ability to stand at a laboratory bench, arrange equipment, handle fragile laboratory apparatus, frequently walk between laboratories, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Demonstrates expertise in developing and implementing experimental protocols, conducting complex laboratory analyses, and maintaining data integrity in research settings. Proficient in troubleshooting scientific experiments and collaborating with research teams to advance scientific objectives.
