Position Overview:
The Market Loss Prevention Manager assesses and mitigates both external and internal shrink for their assigned stores through the management of policies, procedures, programs, systems, and conducting internal and external investigations for theft, fraud, and misconduct. The Market Loss Prevention Manager will guide the store Team Leaders and associates to drive results in mitigating all sources of company shrink, safety exposures, and degradation of store’s physical inventory.
Assigned responsibilities is 8 - 15 store locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigate reports of merchandise thefts, internal and external. Partner with Human Resources and Store Operations on investigation conclusions and corrective actions.
- Complete required “Shrink Risk Assessment” audits. Assist stores in development and execution of shortage action
- Support stores in training new associates in the areas of Loss Prevention and safety. Focus store leadership on driving associate awareness on shortage and associate actions to mitigate loss exposure.
- Provide leadership for store safety through immediate follow up on safety issues. Ensure consistency on safety reporting.
- Manage and guide maintenance and support for store security and life safety systems, CCTV, burglar and fire alarm systems, locks, keys, and emergency exits.
- Developing and maintain open line of communication with all store leaders, associates, field leadership and Store Support Center.
- Reinforce store’s Asset Protection and safety awareness by conducting training sessions for all assigned stores. Remotely and in-person.
- Partner and communicate with District Team Leaders on relevant loss prevention/ shortage
- Utilize all available resources in execution of responsibilities, CCTV, SECURE (POS monitoring), MS Office, Outlook, internal systems.
- Partner with Loss Prevention analyst team to drive internal productivity.
- Manage Shrink and safety through implementation of company programs and reinforcement of guidelines and policy.
- Supervise store Inventory preparation, Inventory scanning, and reconciliation process.
- Engage in law enforcement outreach programs. Participate in available organized retail crime associations, (ORCA).
- Ability to be a business leader focused on overall company priorities for delivering Sales, Service, and profitability.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Higher education, including two- and four-year degrees related to criminal justice preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in loss prevention in a retail service-oriented business, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Efficient planning, prioritization, and implementation of detailed instructions.
- Ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards.
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
- Prior interviewing/investigation certification such as WZ or Reid
Physical Requirements:
- Travel within assigned market, some overnight travel required.
