• Complies with company guidelines for maximizing sales, profitability and customer service by ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly.
• Completes build‑to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise.
• Maintains inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, stocking merchandise according to schematic.
• Validates deliveries by verifying invoices, reviewing discrepancies with Store Manager, and ensuring what the store is being charged matches what was delivered.
• Prepares displays by assembling, dating and price‑marking in‑store displays.
• Rotates food items, monitoring quality and freshness measures to protect customers from illness.
• Monitors and maintains food preparation area and display cases to attract and retain customers.
• Assists training new associates, emphasizing excellent customer service, when necessary.
• Monitors and organizes inventory to prevent being out of stock on an item a customer wants to purchase.

• Provides prompt, excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner.
• Greets customers as they enter the area and thanks them as they leave.
• Resolves or assists in resolving routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
• Reports to work on time and follows the dress and appearance code.
• Prepares and serves quality food and beverage to satisfy customer needs.

• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Sweeps and mops or cleans floors.
• Dusters and/or washes windows, counters, displays, store areas and bathrooms.
• Picks up and disposes of trash, litter or debris.
• Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness and proper working order.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains food service equipment to protect customers from illness.

• Attends job‑related meetings (may be required to work irregular hours).
• Maintains intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performs all duties with minimal supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to work as scheduled, including arriving on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below.
• Ability to work in the conditions described below.

• Exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes while performing occasional work in a walk‑in cooler and/or freezer and outdoors.
• Occasionally lifts and/or carries up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead (assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels).
• Occasionally lifts and/or carries up to 50 pounds from ground to waist (replenishing fountain syrups).
• Grasps, reaches and manipulates objects with hands for entire shift; requires eye‑hand coordination.
• Pushes/pulls with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (using a hand‑truck).
• Reaches overhead for objects.
• Bends and twists at waist.
• Communicates orally.
• Operates a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
• Stoops, kneels, squats, bends, pushes and pulls.
• Works alone.
• Exposed to occasional noise.
• Stands and/or walks for an entire shift.
• May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.

• Performs approximately 95% of all work indoors, but is required to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc.
• May take out garbage during the day or early evening hours.
• Exposed to extreme cold temperatures while working occasionally in a walk‑in cooler and/or freezer.
• Exposed to occasional noise.
• Works with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
