Our team is growing and we are seeking a Wedding & Events Manager to assist in the organization, planning, and execution of many weddings, meetings, conferences, and events throughout the year. We’re looking for a highly skilled professional who can help make these gatherings consistently efficient and memorable. A successful candidate is a goal-oriented creative that can communicate the quality and value of the products and services we offer and could build business by sales initiatives and cultivating repeat clients and referrals.
This position is expected to join the team in accomplishing all sales goals while staying relevant and competitive in today’s wedding and event market.
- Assist in responses to inquiries, schedule consultations, and create proposals based on the client’s personalized vision in a timely manner.
- Maintain a pipeline of inquiries and prospects, while also taking a proactive approach to finding new business to meet or exceed goals.
- Assist with execution, installation and take down of events as needed.
- Assist in set ups and pulling of props from the company warehouse.
- Assist with contracts, deposits and final payment of events including account reconciliations after events according to company policy.
- Review floral selections with flower buyer, design, and Production Manager to ensure floral and hardgoods are ordered and received on time.
- Maintain timely contact with client to receive feedback, ensure satisfaction or addresses concerns.
- Build relationships with vendors and network with others in the wedding/event industry.
- Research and keep up with the trends evolving in the wedding industry to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Interact in a positive, cooperative, and professional manner, with all levels of employees, vendors, and/or clients, in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business or related field preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in hospitality or event coordination.
- Must be knowledgeable with color and design and have an eye for creativity.
Event Floral Design experience is preferred. - Available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays as needed based on event schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, Canva and Curate.
- Preferred background in Event, Restaurant, Hotel or Entertainment Industry.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to bend, sit, walk, and lift 40 lbs.
