We are looking for a Specification Sales Manager that will lead the company’s efforts to expand and maintain relationships with influencers (specifying engineers, architects, property managers, etc.) and end‑user customers (building owners) in the Southeast marketplace with a focus on Florida and Georgia. You will promote products, solutions, and services to generate sales and company brand awareness in these relationships, promoting the entire range of company products, solutions, and services to influencers and end users to position the Company and its partner channel as the successful supplier and articulate the technology and solutions positioning to both business and technical buyers.
Whatwill you do?
- Meet with influencers and end users to present the Company’s portfolio of products, solutions, and services.
- Develop and maintain specification documentation and collateral to aid influencers and end users in specifying and utilizing the Company’s products.
- In collaboration with the Sales Support Team, develop and deliver new product introductions (roll‑outs) to the market and channel.
- In conjunction with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Management, lead sales efforts with influencers and end‑user customers to position the Company’s portfolio of products, solutions, and services.
- Use external web‑based sales tools such as Dodge Construction Data to target and focus on new project opportunities.
- Maintain accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, meetings, and outcomes, utilizing the CRM.
- Create and follow up on opportunities with RSMs and channel partners utilizing the CRM.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet performance objectives.
- Meet assigned targets for sales, market specifications, and strategic objectives.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate influencer and end‑user customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Achieve assigned quotas in designated geography.
- Achieve strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
- Show potential to assume positions of greater impact and complexity over time.
- Maintain a mindset that balances both strategy and innovation with direct and successful execution.
- The candidate should currently reside in a major city in their territory (preferably Florida) and understand the market landscape; existing relationships with GC, consultants, and developers is a plus.
- Four years university or college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of HVAC and/or building automation system sales experience.
- Sales management experience in a business‑to‑business environment partnering with engineers and architects.
- Exceptional written, oral communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and handle various priorities.
- Personal computer proficiency and excel in MS Office applications.
- This position requires travel.
- The employee must hold a valid driver’s license.
- The employee must hold a valid passport.
- The position may require the employee to maintain a home‑based office.
