National Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Accounts Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our presence with larger accounts. This role will involve significant travel to visit clients, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate long-term relationships that drive growth. The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance sales and increase market share within designated territories.

Essential Functions

  • Business Development:
    Identify and pursue new account opportunities to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at larger accounts, understanding their needs and aligning services to meet those requirements.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation:
    Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve established sales targets and market penetration goals.
  • Travel Requirements:
    Engage in regular travel to visit clients across the assigned region, conducting in-person meetings to strengthen relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis:
    Analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with other departments, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure an integrated approach to account management and service delivery.
  • Training and Support:
    Provide support and training to client teams, helping them understand product offerings and effective sales techniques.
  • Performance Tracking:
    Monitor sales metrics and account performance, making recommendations for improvement and adjustments to strategies as necessary.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding account activity, market developments, and growth opportunities.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by management.

Education

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Bachelor degree in business preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of managing large accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in a similar industry (e.g., telecommunications, technology, or consumer products) is highly desirable.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to manage client interactions and sales pipelines.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) for client meetings and industry events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel by air.
