Part-Time Public Safety Officer

Position Overview

ASU-Beebe is seeking a Part Time Public Safety Officer who reports to the HE Public Safety Commander on the Beebe campus. The officer will work up to 19 hours per week providing campus safety and security.

Provide campus safety and security services as assigned, including patrolling, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.

• Certified full or part‑time police officer
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Preferred certification from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license

• Any additional certifications or experience relevant to campus security

$20.00 per hour.

• Stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Talk or hear; taste or smell
• Lift up to 10 pounds, 25 pounds, 50 pounds, 100 pounds, or more than 100 pounds as needed

Standard vision requirements for campus security personnel. No special vision requirements are listed.

Position requires a pre‑employment criminal, sex‑offender registry background check. Additional financial or credit history checks may be applied where predetermined.
