As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Little Rock, AR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

4+ years of law enforcement or military experience or
Graduate of law enforcement academy
Job Schedule:- Fri: 12:00 PM - 05:00 PM
- Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. - Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:- Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, equipment yards, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering restricted areas.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Have supervisory experience.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have 5 or more years of security‑related experience.
- Have 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
