Description

This role requires travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed.

- Perform customer support activities involving installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conduct on‑site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Isolate equipment start‑up malfunctions and take corrective action.
- Execute ad‑hoc and predetermined work assignments with clear instructions.
- Follow all established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Handle semi‑routine assignments, recognizing deviations from accepted practice.
- Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate repair activities in priority sequence to meet contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
- Operate in customer environments with 24/7 systems requiring immediate response, including on‑shift or after‑hours on‑call duties, and drive long distances to sites.
- Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU for customers.
- Related trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics). Equivalent experience may be demonstrated through 2 years in an electrical or mechanical field service role.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, strong customer focus, and teamwork orientation. Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times and travel on short notice.
- Must pass an in‑depth background check (TSA eQIP).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask multiple projects.
- Strong customer service skills and capacity to handle stressful situations.
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and accountable.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. and push/pull 200 lbs.
- Capability to move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs. with assistance of carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks or other devices as defined in manuals and Technical Advisory documentation.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
- Adherence to safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
Salary Range for this position: $65,000 to $68,000.
