Crain Automotive is seeking an experienced and dependable Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with structured cabling, access control, surveillance systems, networking hardware, and related technologies. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Skills- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and fiber optic cabling
- Install and support surveillance camera systems, access control systems, intercoms, and related low voltage equipment
- Mount and install network racks, patch panels, switches, wireless access points, and related hardware
- Perform cable routing through ceilings, walls, conduits, and other pathways while maintaining clean and professional installations
- Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues involving network and low voltage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and floor plans
- Assist with network equipment deployments and basic network troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service work, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Travel to dealership locations throughout Arkansas as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Minimum 2 years of low voltage installation or field technician experience required
- Experience with structured cabling, CCTV systems, access control, and network hardware
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti, Cisco, Verkada, Avigilon, or similar systems is a plus
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and wireless systems preferred
- Ability to use cable testers, toner tools, punch-down tools, and other installation equipment
- Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
