We are seeking a Field Service Technician to provide onsite technical support, maintenance, and repair services for equipment in the assigned service area. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, effective time management, and the ability to resolve technical issues while following established service procedures and service level expectations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, performing hands-on repairs, and escalating issues when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module (FRU) level.
Maintain parts inventory and associated service records.
Provide timely status updates throughout the service and repair process.
Diagnose equipment issues using service information, error logs, and troubleshooting procedures.
Take ownership of customer service issues through resolution in accordance with established service level expectations.
Follow all applicable security and safety procedures while performing onsite service.
Complete all required technical training and certifications.
Accurately document service calls, completed work, and required reporting activities.
Job Requirements:
Perform physical activities including bending, squatting, walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
Travel within the assigned service area as required.
Lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work from either a scheduled route or be dispatched on a call-by-call basis.
Be available to work rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and other schedules as business needs require.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
0–1 year of related technical or field service experience.
Reliable transportation.
Android smartphone capable of receiving work orders and accessing support documentation.
Basic hand tools (tools are not provided), including:
Flathead screwdrivers (#1 and #2)
Phillip's screwdrivers (#1 and #2)
Required
Skills & Experience:
Ability to work Monday through Friday, with typical shift start times between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, depending on the assigned service area.
Strong personal integrity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple service priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related technical field.
Previous experience servicing similar equipment or performing field service support.
