Thrive Project Resources Arkansas
Thrive Project Resources is seeking multiple Industrial Controls Installation Specialists for an industrial greenfield plant startup project in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. This is a hands-on field installation role focused on reading and executing from termination schedules, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, drive connection diagrams, and panel schematics. Primary work includes terminal block terminations, field junction box wiring, sensor installation, cable identification and dressing, continuity checks, and AC variable speed drive connections.
The strongest candidates will have broad industrial controls experience, including sensor wiring, control-panel installation, motor control centers, VFDs, instrumentation, conveyor or automated manufacturing systems, and electromechanical troubleshooting. PLC or HMI familiarity is valuable because the technician must understand the systems being wired; however, this is not a PLC programming or commissioning role. The work is installation-driven and requires proven hands-on controls wiring and termination capability.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesWork from project termination schedules, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, drive connection diagrams, and panel schematics to plan and execute daily installation and termination tasks accurately and efficiently across assigned work areas.
Terminate PLC field signal junction boxes & motor field junction boxes and at the terminal block level, including conductor identification, ferrule crimping, cable dressing, labeling, and completion documentation.
Land and verify digital & analog I/O points using I/O lists and termination schedules to confirm correct conductor placement, terminal designation, labeling, and continuity.
Mount, align, connect, and terminate proximity and inductive sensors and route sensor cables to the assigned field junction boxes and control panels.
Install, terminate, dress, and label controls wiring within field junction boxes, control panels, drive panels, and related automation equipment.
Use multimeters and continuity testing equipment to identify open circuits, crossed conductors, incorrect terminations, grounding issues, and damaged cables.
Document and report drawing conflicts, missing conductors, incorrect labels, damaged components, and other field discrepancies before proceeding.
Correct installation punch-list items and support point-to-point verification by confirming field devices and conductors match project documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and perform other controls installation support duties assigned by project leadership.
QualificationsExtensive hands-on experience reading and working from industrial controls wiring diagrams, termination schedules, I/O lists, panel schematics, device drawings, and drive connection diagrams is required.
Demonstrated experience with industrial control panels, junction boxes, terminal blocks, sensors, instrumentation, motor controls, or VFD wiring and terminations is required.
Working familiarity with Siemens PLC-based systems and digital and analog I/O is required; PLC programming is not required.
Ability to use a multimeter and perform continuity checks and installation-related wiring troubleshooting.
Experience with ferrule crimping, conductor labeling, cable dressing, shield termination, grounding, and high-quality terminal block work.
Ability to work independently through large point counts while maintaining sequence, documentation accuracy, and consistent workmanship.
Reliable attendance, strong jobsite discipline, and a professional approach to safety, quality, productivity, and task completion.
Physical andWork Environment Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform hands-on field wiring and termination work throughout the shift.
Ability to wear required PPE and follow all site-specific safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and energized-work restrictions.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as required by the project installation schedule.
Compensation and SupportA competitive hourly wage and overtime pay are available for qualified candidates. W2 employees and qualified 1099 contractors will be considered. Candidates with strong industrial controls installation, panel building, instrumentation, motor control, automation integration, or industrial field service backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to residential or commercial electrical work, basic cable pulling, or PLC programming without hands-on field installation experience.
We thank all applicants in advance. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
