Position: Air Conditioning Repairman (temporary for the 2026-2027 school year)

Maintenance HVAC Technician

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED
Vocational technical training in HVACR (five years experience will substitute for vocational training)
Two years work experience
Prefer that applicant hold at least a Class "C" HVACR license
Must have universal EPA certification

HVAC Foreman

Job Goal

To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use may be available at all times.

Performance Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on air conditioning equipment.

Requisition parts and supplies for air conditioning equipment.

Instruct custodians in operation of air conditioning equipment.

Assist in supervision of air conditioning contracts.

Recommend needed improvements to Director of School Plant Services.

Perform some heavy lifting.

Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.

Perform work underneath, on top of, and in attic of buildings.

Perform work in extreme weather conditions.

Respond to after hour emergencies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:

Salary Range:
Range 12 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($19.10/hr.

- $30.66/hr. depending on relevant experience)
